A Michigan man dying of cancer has become everyone's hero in the past few days. Ken Broskey, 69, does not want to waste the last few weeks of his life lying on a hospital bed. He has taken a challenge to pay off the debt for his house mortgage so that his family can live in peace after he passes away.
Broskey has started working with Uber cabs and can be seen driving their cabs on the streets on a regular basis, according to Daily Mail. Broskey used to be a real estate agent before he retired and had taken a house on high mortgage, for which he is still paying.
Before his time comesm Broskey wants to complete the payment so that his family, which consists of his daughter and grandchildren, can live in that house without any worries.
Seeing such a brave act on his part, a student at Roland Gainer College has started a funding page for Broskey named GoFundMe which aims at helping him achieve his target goal of the mortgage money. The page has raised up to $95,000 till now for Broskey, according to Yahoo News. Also, Uber has decided to donate $1 to this page when people write UberPartnerKen in the app version of Uber rides, while requesting for a ride.
This page has already raised $100,000 for Broskey and his family has not closed the donations yet. The family will be able to use some extra money to keep him comfortable in his last days.
