Late Whitney Houston's only child, Bobbi Kristina Brown, may be no longer in coma but her medical condition is still the same. The 22-year-old child of late legendary singer is still reported to be unresponsive with ho hope in the near future.
"I have just returned from visiting my granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive," Kristina's grandmother Cissy Houston told People.
Slamming the earlier reports that Kristina is recovering, her granny clarified that despite the fact that celebrity child is no more in coma, she might have to spend her life in the same vegetative state. Kristina is continuing in the medical rehab center and her prognosis is still not clear.
Earlier, Bobby Brown, Kristina's father, told the audience at a Dallas concert that his daughter is "awake" and watching him, Us Weekly reported. Brown's speech triggered the rumour that the celebrity child is finally awake from coma after almost three months and is improving. The rumour was further fuelled by Brown's sister Tina Brown's Facebook post which claimed that Kristina is out of coma and is no longer on life support. The post is now deleted.
But after Cissy's public statement, it seems that there is nothing to rejoice as the condition of Kristina is more or less still the same and there is not much hope.
Kristina is unresponsive since Jan 31 when she was found face down drowned in a bathtub. She was placed in a medically induced coma and on life support system soon after. The earlier attempts to bring her out of come proved futile as she started having seizures and was placed back in coma which ended on April 19.
