The new 2015 Nissan Murano is here, and is already up to some rave reviews. From its sleek exterior lines, newly laid out interiors and a more refined engine trim options, the new Murano does command a street presence that does dwarf many of its rivals.
The new Murano comes in four trim levels - S, SV, SL and Platinum. There are also the options of a front or an all-wheel drive version as well. Among the features that come standard on the base S version of the Murano include tilt-and-telescoping steering, cruise control, and 18 inch alloys wheels. Other features worth mentioning on the S version of Murano include Bluetooth phone and audio connect, seven inch touchscreen based infotainment system and a rear view camera.
Next up is the SV model that comes with enhanced navigation aids, roof rails, fog lights, eight-way power-adjustable driver seat and power front passenger seat offering four settings. There is also the leather-wrapped steering wheel for the taking while buyers can also opt for a panoramic sunroof and nine speakers system as an add-on package.
With the SL model, buyers get enhanced comfort features which include heated front seats and outside mirrors, a rearview and 360-degree parking camera assist, blind spot warning and rear cross-traffic alerts. The Sl model also comes equipped with a Bose audio system which together with leather upholstery and ambient interior lighting makes for a truly luxurious setting, Huffington Post reported.
Things take on a new level with the top end Platinum model that boasts of heated and air-conditioned front seats, heated rear seats, and heated steering wheel on top of everything else that's standard on the base three models. LED headlights and 20 inch alloys all round also makes the Platinum even more special.
To ensure utmost passenger comfort, Nissan is also offering, what it calls the zero gravity seats on the new Murano. Developed in collaboration with NASA, the 2015 Murano won't provide for a zero gravity like feeling when driven round but does allow for optimum support thanks to the superior design of the seats. These, according to PostBulletin, have been built around "neutral posture" as mandated by NASA which refers to the perfect body posture in a weightless state.
In a related development, Nissan has also launched the Nissan Murano Hybrid at the Shanghai Auto Expo. The highlight of the hybrid Nissan includes its 15 Kw electric motor coupled to a Li-In battery packs that works in conjugation with the supercharged QR25DER gasoline engine.
