Manny Pacquiao is all smiles as he takes to Facebook to share a photo of himself with his team while has Butterfinger peanut butter cups on his right hand prior to his weigh-in on May 2, Saturday.
"Selfie before weigh-in," Pacquiao simply captioned the photo.
Dubbed as "The Fight Of The Century" or "Battle For Greatness," Pacquiao's fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. will take place on May 2, Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The $1 million belt for the winner of the fight newly created by the WBC has the faces of both Pacquiao and Mayweather Jr. along with the faces of boxing legend Muhammad Ali and former WBC president José Sulaimán.
The Pacquiao-Mayweather fight belt is an exact replica of the current belt but it has thousands of emeralds instead of the gold plating for the center logo.
Mayweather Jr. is an undefeated five-division world champion while Pacquiao is currently the eight-division world champion. The Nevada Athletic Commission appointed Kenny Bayless as the in-ring referee in the highly anticipated fight.
Bayless has officiated seven of Pacquiao's fights and five of Mayweather Jr.'s fights in the past. He will be paid $25,000 as the referee while Clements. Serving as the judges are Burt Clements, Glenn Feldman and Dave Moretti, each of whom will be paid $20,000 as judges.
Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach recently said Bayless is "a great referee" and judges are people he is familiar with his entire life, CBS Los Angeles reported.
Meanwhile, a biopic about Pacquiao's childhood titled "Kid Kulafu" was recently released in Los Angeles and the Filipino champ's family approved of it.
"Well, we had a very successful premiere here in Los Angeles," said "Kid Kulafu" director Paul Soriano, The Inquirer quoted him saying. "We watched it with the Pacquiao family except Manny, who was training for the fight. He'll watch it in another time."
