"Fifty Shades of Grey" fans are delighted to know that "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed" have already been confirmed by Universal Pictures.
Ahead of its 2017 release, fans were recently given a first look at what Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele could face in the sequel.
"Fifty Shades of Grey" ended with Anastasia (Dakota Johnson) telling Christian (Jamie Dornan) that they should part ways and fans are left to wonder whether or not this would be for good.
Now, a 30-second teaser from "Fifty Shades Darker" has just been released and it featured a much darker Christian Grey.
In the clip, Christian could be seen inside a dark room wearing a tuxedo. He carefully wears a mask before attending a masquerade ball.
"Are you ready for something darker?" he asked.
According to Venture Capital Post, the scene in the clip was previously filmed for "Fifty Shades of Grey" but it will now be included in the upcoming sequel.
Meanwhile, Universal Pictures Chairman Donna Langley recently teased fans with what they will see in "Fifty Shades Darker."
During his interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Langley also revealed that the second installment to the "Fifty Shades" franchise will be more of a dark thriller.
As of late, it has already been confirmed that "FSOG" director Sam Taylor-Johnson will not return to direct the two films.
However, James' husband, Niall Leonard has been confirmed to pen the sequel.
"He actually did a draft and was credited on the first movie. He did a really good job," Langley told the publication.
"Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed" are slated for release in February 2017 and 2018 respectively.
