Queen of reality TV world, Kim Kardashian, is being slammed as being a hypocrite for banning selfies at the book signing event held in her honour in New York City. The new glossy coffee table book, titled "Selfish," features over 400 pages of selfies the star has taken for nearly a decade. Check out the sneak preview here.
The book signing event was being held at the Barnes & Noble on Fifth Avenue in New York City on Tuesday. While the ban was reportedly meant to speedup the process and keep the line moving, the fans, who had camped all night outside Barnes & Nobleo catch a glimpse of the 34-year-old, were surely taken aback at the announcement.
Kardashian, who is considered an epitome of self taken snapashots, was being criticized for being mean and inconsiderate towards the feeling of her fans. Ironically, with the launch of her book, rapper Kanye West's wife and her publisher Rizzoli are trying to trying to make a statement that selfies are more of an art than just casual photos, Yahoo! reported.
Kardashian arrived at the event clad in figure-hugging lace top and a split white skirt, flaunting her famous curves for the onlookers. Earlier during an interview with Harper Bazaar, the star has disclosed that she had this habit of taking her pictures since 2006. She admittedly kept all the pics organized neatly in her computer in categories like glam selfies, selfies with friends, selfies with sisters, and sexy selfies.
Later, the pics were arranged chronologically which amazingly turned into a pictorial depiction of Kardashian's transformation from fame-chaser wardrobe stylist to paparazzi target. The book revolves around the life of the reality show "Keeping Up With The Kardashian" star and has snaps of her ample curves, to shots with her celebrity friends, to intimate family photos with her famous siblings, husband Kanye West, and baby North West. Check out some never seen before pics of the star from the book here.
