The fourth season of "Scandal" probably caused the most tension among the audiences who have seen the episode. Not only did Rowan Pope (Joe Morton) partner up with Mellie (Bellamy Young), the latter also made a huge mistake by disclosing the names of the panelists in that grand jury to Papa Pope.
Rowan may have lived up to his promise of keeping Mellie's secrets but the latter's move caused her to play a role in getting a bus shot down, according to TV Line.
While dealing with the crisis, Elizabeth (Portia de Rossi) presented herself as someone who is on Mellie's side but she later on rattled Mellie's partnership with Rowan and this caused President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) to be enraged.
The president of the United States then asked Mellie to leave the White House and by the looks of it, this decision seemed final.
Meanwhile, Mellie won in the Senatorial race but how she would deal with the recent changes in her life could potentially destroy her.
In other news, Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) may not have won against her father but she was definitely the winner in this final episode for the season, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported.
Towards the end of the episode, Olivia and Jake (Scott Foley) talked to each other with the latter giving her his blessing. "My mission is over," Jake said on Thursday night's episode.
This was Jake's way or urging Olivia to go back to the man that she truly loves, President Fitzgerald. With this, Olivia went to the White House to meet up with the president and it seems that their relationship will once again take center stage in season 5.
"Scandal" airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
