Known for his "Gossip Girl" role Chuck Bass, Ed Westwick is back starring in a news ABC crime drama titled "Wicked City" with a story set in the 1980s about a pair of LAPD detectives hunting down serial killers who are terrorizing the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, Calif.
To promote "Wicked City," Westwick attended the 2015 ABC Upfront presentation at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall in New York City on May 12, Tuesday, Just Jared reported.
In "Wicked City," Westwick plays a charming, attractive but insane serial murderer named Kent, who has necrophiliac tendencies, and own set of unique needs, Bustle has learned.
Joining Westwick in the "Wicked City" cast are "All My Children" alum Olivia Moss, "Daughters Of Pop" star Anna Borchert, "Californication" star Darrell Britt-Gibson, "Parenthood" star Erika Christensen and "True Detective" actor W. Earl Brown.
Also starring in "Wicked City" are Lucas Di Medio, Pilar Holland, Gabriel Luna, Stina Lundberg, Andriana Manfredi, Sara Mornell, Kascee Murdock, Michael Prather, Devon Reilly, Adam Rothenberg, Link Ruiz, Erika Sabel Flores and Doug Simpson, among others.
"Wicked City" is Westwick's first television role since 2012 when "Gossip Girl" ended.
Westwick's fellow "Gossip Girl" alum Chace Crawford also attended 2015 ABC Upfront presentation to promote another ABC series titled "Oil."
Westwick was with his "Wicked City" co-star Christensen while Crawford was with his "Oil" co-star Rebecca Rittenhouse during the event, which was also attended by "How To Get Away With Murder" stars Billy Brown, Liza Weil, Charlie Weber, Karla Souza, MattMcGorry, Jack Falahee, Alfred Enoch and Aja Naomi King.
