Some "Furious 8" scenes will be reportedly shot in the Philippines like those in the 2012 film "Bourne Legacy."
"Fast And Furious" star Vin Diesel was said to just love Manny Pacquiao's home country, the Philippines, and he wants to shoot some "Furious 8" scenes in the country's busiest highway, Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA), according to Manila Live Wire.
In 2013, Diesel and visited the Philippines with other "Fast And Furious 6" stars to promote the film. Years before this, the actor was linked to Filipino actress Andrea del Rosario, who he exchanged emails with.
In January 2012, some roads in Pasay City, Philippines, including a part of EDSA, were closed to traffic for the shooting of the spy thriller "The Bourne Legacy," which starred Jeremy Renner, Scott Glenn, Stacy Keach, Edward Norton, Donna Murphy, Rachel Weisz, Howard Leader and Michael Chernus, among others.
Recently, it was confirmed that Matt Damon will reprising his role Jason Bourne in the 2016 film "Bourne 5," which he is co-writing with his "Bourne Supremacy" and "Bourne Ultimatum" director Paul Greengrass, according to Venture Capital Post.
No other details are available about who is joining Damon in "Bourne 5."
Meanwhile, "Furious 8" already has an official release date, which is on April 14, 2017. On the other hand, it is yet to be confirmed whether "Furious 7" stars Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Ronda Rousey, Lucas Black, Kurt Russell, Gal Gadot, Tony Jaa, Luke Evans, Djimon Housou and Ali Fazal are returning to "Furious 8."
