Apple is believed to be in the final stages with its iOS 8.4 update now that the Cupertino company has already outed three iOS 8.4 Beta for developers and two for those who have registered for the Beta Software Program. Given the hectic activity underway, analysts predict the update should be out anytime soon.
Some have already put their money on June 8 being the launch date when the WWDC event gets underway. That is understandable considering Apple has used the event to push several updates in the past, which includes iOS 7 and iOS 8.
However, this year's edition of WWDC could be all the more special considering the likely scenario of Apple launching iOS 9 as well, as some rumor streams would like us to believe. Things really will get exciting if Apple indeed launches iOS 8.4 and announces what new features is slated to accompany iOS 9 or when it could be launched.
That said, there is another school of thought doing the rounds that claim it could be late June for Apple to release the 8.4 update. Mark Gruman from 9to5Mac is among those in support of this citing lack of enough music deals in place for Apple Music, Apple's new subscription based music streaming service that could be preventing the June 8 launch.
Apple Music will be what Apple has made out of its $3 billion acquisition of Beats and is being considered to be the centrepiece of the next iOS version. The app has already seen some extensive revamp and is expected to have borrowed some features from Apple's once-upon-a-time Ping music social network service.
Apple is also tipped to introduce its own audiobook service to CarPlay with the iOS 8.4 update. Audible is another audiobook app that recently announced its support for CarPlay, MacRumors reported.
Meanwhile, iOS 9 could see the launch of the revamped Siri applications, much on the lines of the one that does duty in the recently launched iWatch.
