Naruto Shippuden returns to the climax of the story following a filler arc the runs for roughly five months. Now that everybody knows how Sakura, Neji, Rock Lee and others became fine ninjas in their own rights, it's time to pick up where they left off when the story's protagonist Naruto and Sasuke found themselves between life and death after succumbing to Madara's immeasurable might.
Based on Chapter 663 & 664 of the Naruto Shippuden Manga, Episode 414 will focus on Naruto and Sasuke as their lives in great peril after falling at the hands of Madara, who already possessed the power of the Rinnegan and about to become the jinchuriki of the ten-tail beast.
Before the Gedo statue successfully extracted the nine-tails fox from Naruto's body, the beast was able to give a last second instruction to Gaara, the Kazakage of the Hidden Sand, to look for the fourth Hokage Minato Namikaze. The tailed fox believed Naruto's life could still be saved by transferring the other half of his spirit sealed inside Minato. However, with Naruto's heartbeat slowly weakening, Sakura had no choice but to perform an unconventional medical technique as their last hope to revive his friend.
Meanwhile, Sasuke was also hanging for his life after Madara severely stabbed him in his heart. Orichimaru and members of team Hibi, especially Karin, noticed the young Uchiha's fading chakra, but their attempt to come to his aid denied by Zetzu Tobi. Fortunately, a reformed Kabuto (as a result of Itachi's Izanami) arrived just in time to heal Sasuke.
Madara, with most of his oppositions taken down, absorbed the ten tails and became a heavenly being who acquires the power of the Sage of the Six .
