Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference or WWDC has been a highly anticipated event every June. The event hosted annually in San Francisco is the company's way to introduce or announce upcoming products and features. Particularly, the iOS 9 remains the much expected announcement possibly giving light to what the iPhone 6s or the iPhone 7 will offer.
The WWDC is a week-long affair showcasing Apple executives on the stage announcing or discussing new hardware and software. Whereas Apple always makes it a point to keep mum about its announcements, many analysts agree that people can expect the affair to delve further details on the company's desktop and mobile operating systems. It is a conference for software developers after all. Likewise, there are high expectations to see the iOS 9 update for iPhones and iPads. The OS X 10.11 should also make an appearance.
As Apple's music streaming services, Beats Music has been making headlines for the past few weeks, many believed that more details about it should come up starting June 8. Previously, 9to5Mac released an exclusive report saying that the iOS 9 will come with Force Touch support. The update should also include haptic feedback, calendar and "power user-centric" capabilities.
The Force Touch is expected to show up on both the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus contrary to previous reports that it will only be included in the upcoming phablet. Users can expect a similar functionality as the Force Touch technology in the Retina MacBooks and MacBook Pros. Apple has not provided the final details yet thus all leaks and estimates should be taken with a grain of salt. Google is also slated to hold its own developer conference, Google I/O, this end of May. How the Android and the iOS will complete should be answered following the announcements of both companies.
