As part of the company's Computex 2015 presentation, Intel announced 10 new microprocessors under its Broadwell microarchitecture.
Six Core i7's and four Core i5's were released. The desktop and laptop variant of the Core i7 and the Core i5 will have an integrated Iris Pro Graphics 6200 except for the Core i7-5700HQ. According to Beta News, the Core i7-5700 HQ will have the HD Graphics 5600.
Five of Intel's new set of processors will be released for desktop computers. Intel will release the Core i7-577C and Core i7-5775R on the high-end market. While the Core i5-5575R, Core i5-5675R and the Core i5-5675C will target the mid-range market. The i7 variants have eight threads and six megabytes of L3 cache while the i5 variants have four threads and four megabytes of L3 cache, all of them having four cores.
For the laptop market, Intel will release the Core i7-5950HQ which is considered as the most powerful in the group. It has a base frequency of 2.9 GHz with four cores and eight threads. It has 6 megabytes of L3 cache and 47W of thermal design point. According to Extreme Tech, the processor will fetch a hefty price of $623.
The other four processors Intel released for the laptop market are Core i7-5700HQ, Core i7-5750HQ, Core i7-5850HQ and the Core i5-5350H. The four Core i7 processors released for laptop devices will have eight threads, six megabytes of L3 cache and 47W thermal design points. The Core i5 will have four thread, two cores and 47W thermal design point.
Intel's new processors are expected to power upcoming devices within the next month.
