"Thor 3: Ragnarok" has already been confirmed for release in the next few years and as early as now, fans are speculating that Thor could kill Loki in the upcoming sequel.
According to Movie Pilot, the only sensible direction "Thor 3: Ragnarok" could take is to have Thor end up killing one the major characters in the film.
The publication compared the upcoming movie of Chris Hemsworth to "X-Men: Apocalypse," suggesting that both films are centered on some cataclysmic event that will encourage the characters to fight for their respective worlds.
Ragnarok, which literally signifies Norse end of days, would most likely feature the evil giant fire also known as the Surtur. In the comics, Odin, Thor and Loki died after fighting their respective biggest enemies, a giant wolf, a giant snake and Heimdall, which suggests that one of the three could be killed off in the upcoming installment.
If "Thor 3: Ragnarok" were to follow the same story, one of the characters, specifically Loki, could be killed off. However, some publications note that Loki could not be killed off because the character will also have a standalone film in the coming years.
Meanwhile, there have been some speculations as to the plot of "Thor 3: Ragnarok." According to Venture Capital Post, the movie will also focus more on Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Heimdall (Idris Elba). There are also hints that Jaimie Alexander will reprise her role Lady Sif role on "Thor 3: Ragnarok." as she personally teased the possibility.
"Thor 3: Ragnarok" is slated for release in the United States in November 2017.
