Paramount Pictures and Michael Bay have acquired two new female writers for the upcoming sequel of the "Transformers" franchise.
Christina Hodson and Lindsey Beer are now on board to pen the screenplay for the upcoming film, as per Deadline. The new writers will be also so set to pen for the franchise's prequel and spin-off films with the control of Akiva Goldsman.
Hodson is set to pen the screenplay for the remake of the Arnold Kopelson-produced action-drama film "The Fugitive" and the crime-drama "Unforgettable" for Warner Bros. The writer also wrote the script for "The Eden Project," which was purchased by Sony Pictures for Material Pictures, and for Farren Blackburn's drama-thriller "Shut In," which stars Naomi Watts and hits theaters in 2016.
On the other hand, Beer is known for writing films and dramas of the comedy and fantasy genre, including the Disney adventure story "Dig" and the comedy sci-fi "Short Circuit" for The Weinstein Company.
Known for "How To Nail An Alien" and "Electric," Beer is currently on board to write the new "The Wizard Of Oz" for Warner Bros. Another project by the writer is "Sierra Burgess Is A Loser" with Black Label Media as its producer and financier.
