"The Amazing Spider-Man" co-stars Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are reportedly planning their upcoming wedding.
According to Kpopstarz, the couple who split for a short time were spotted shopping for a ring in New York City's Diamond District.
A source told Hollywood Life that the two were specifically looking for a loose emerald-shaped stone, thus heightening speculations that Garfield and Stone will be tying the knot soon. The source added that despite their recent split, Garfield has always been aware that Stone is the right one for him and the two are also excited to design their own engagement ring together.
The publication said that Garfield already proposed to Stone a long time ago, even before their recent split, but it is only now that they decided to scout for a ring.
Garfield and Stone are said to have moved on from whatever caused their split and the couple is looking forward to sharing more years together.
In other news, Stone's recent casting in Cameron Crowe's "Aloha" film was criticized by thousands of fans. In the film, the 26-year-old actress stars as a half Chinese woman alongside Bradley Cooper, Bill Murray, Rachel McAdams, Alec Baldwin and Danny McBride.
Crowe has apologized for the casting controversy and said that he acknowledged Stone's misguided casting choice for the role of Allison Ng.
However, Crowe clarified that the casting of Stone was borne out of his desire to portray the real-life woman named Allison as a red-headed local who is half Chinese and one quarter Hawaiian.
Meanwhile, Sony Pictures also defended "Aloha" and urged fans to still watch it for the story that it aims to tell.
