Loki the Marvel Universe's supervillain and archenemy of Thor might bite the dust in "Thor: Ragnarok." The movie is almost more than a year away from its release date and the official synopsis remains unknown. However, speculations are running rampant claiming to reveal the possible plot details.
According to Movie Pilot, "Ragnarok" storyline features the end of days in Norse mythology. During this period, some catastrophic events destroy the world of Norse gods and goddesses. A giant fire called "Surtur" reportedly becomes the cause of destruction of Asgard, home to Norse gods Thor and Loki.
It leads to the death of several fan-favourite characters. According to the aforementioned website, Thor splits Loki's head for carrying out an act of treachery. However, it's uncertain if Marvel will follow the exact storyline of "Ragnarok" comic.
It is also said that Odin dies fighting a giant wolf. Thor gets killed battling a giant snake. As for Loki and Heimdall, they die during a duel.
Fans must note that the associated persons are yet to reveal any details about "Thor: Ragnarok." Thus the abovementioned information must be considered as mere speculation.
Meanwhile, Christian Today notes that the actor Tom Hiddleston has a multi-movie contract with Marvel. So the actor may not be killed so soon.
In related news, Cinema Blend is speculating that Thor will be battling Surtur and Thanos in future. However, it is assumed that Thanos will only have a cameo in "Thor: Ragnarok." Meanwhile, fans know that the movie marks Phase 3 of Marvel and will affect the Marvel Universe in a big way.
"Thor: Ragnarok" will star Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston. It will hit the theatres in the year 2017.
