"Jurassic World" star Chris Pratt, 35, has clarified the remark he gave to a British magazine, in which he revealed that he was "impotent" and "depressed" when he weighed 300 pounds.
Pratt made the revelation in the Men's Health UK's July 2015 issue and it immediately became a topic of many news headlines.
In Pratt's interview with Access Hollywood, the "Jurassic World" actor said that he meant to say that he had lower sex drive when he said he was "impotent."
For the actor, he admitted that he did not use the word correctly. The "Guardians of the Galaxy" actor said that he knew what "impotent" meant when he said it. He also explained that his spirit was gloomy and his feeling was not great.
When he landed his role as Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord, in James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy," Pratt became iconic letting him move on and leave his overweight days behind him.
Pratt also revealed that he had a deadline for his buff look in Gunn's Marvel film. The actor viewed it as a "big turning point" and an essential gift, as he had to get it done. The actor collaborated with personal trainers, such as medical doctors and nutritionists, to achieve his new look.
For now, fans will see the Pratt in his role as Velociraptor behavioral researcher and trainer Owen Grady in Colin Trevorrow's upcoming "Jurassic World." He will be dealing with the chaos caused by the rampage of the hybrid Indominus rex.
"Jurassic World" also stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Omar Sy, Vincent D'Onofrio, BD Wong, Brian Tee, and Judy Greer. It is slated to hit the big screen on June 12.
