Chris Pratt, 35, promoted Colin Trevorrow's "Jurassic World" on June 11 on the TBS show "Conan," where he showed his three facial expressions in the film, which are fear, love, and joy. Also, his co-star Bryce Dallas Howard, 34, has revealed the secret to her name and her siblings'.
Pratt told "Conan" host Conan O'Brien that the key to showing facial expressions in the film is doing nothing. The actor compared it to cutting a birthday cake and being chased by a 60-foot dinosaur. Pratt added that the music and the editing help achieve the mood of the scene, so over-acting is probably the worst idea.
Pratt told O'Brien that the interaction between an actor and a character that will be animated is the step to make the scene effective. This is evident in "Guardians of the Galaxy" and a scene in "Jurassic World" where the dinosaurs attacked the park attendees.
Meanwhile, Howard told ABC News about a trivia about the names her parents gave to her and her siblings. The actress said that the names were taken from the place where they were conceived. Her sisters got their names from a hotel while her brother's middle name, Cross, was from the road where their house was.
Howard also said that she was called Bryce Dallas for a while and she realized that the name sounds like a porn name. This led her to use her full name, which also let her carry her heritage.
While Pratt plays the role of Velociraptor Owen Grady, Howard portrays the character of park operations manager Claire Dearing. Aside from Pratt and Howard, "Jurassic World" stars Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Irrfan Khan, Omar Sy, Brian Tee, Vincent D'Onofrio, and BD Wong, among others.
"Jurassic World" is still showing in theaters.
