FX Networks has obtained the international television rights to Colin Trevorrow's "Jurassic World," along with other blockbuster films this year.
Aside from Trevorrow's "Jurassic World," fans will be able to see their favorite record-breaking films like James Wan's "Fast and Furious 7," Elizabeth Bank's "Pitch Perfect 2," Olivier Megaton's "Taken 3," and Matthew Vaughn's "Kingsman: The Secret Service" on the network, according to The Wrap.
Also, FX Networks was able to secure television rights to Tim Johnson's "Home" and George Tillman Jr.'s "The Longest Ride," as per Variety. In 2014, the network got an approval to air 64 percent of 2014 films that made more than $100 million at the box office.
Distributed by Universal Pictures, "Jurassic World" became the biggest film opening of all time in the United States and around the world. After its release on June 12, the "Jurassic Park" sequel grossed an estimate of $209 million on its opening weekend.
As of now, "Jurassic World" has made an estimated gross of $209 million in the U.S. and an estimated gross of $315 million globally, for a total of $524 million. The dinosaur film sequel is also the fastest film to gross $200 million as it made it in three days, surpassing Joss Whedon's "Avengers: Age of Ultron," which crossed the same amount in four days.
