Google Nexus 2015 smartphone is still under the wraps, but newer details of the purported device are gradually surfacing. A new report has revealed the next generation Nexus will be manufactured by LG.
Rumors suggest that the Nexus 2015 smartphone will be released in two variants. One of them will be built by LG and the other one by Huawei. The Motorola Nexus 6 successor will be an LG product, South Korean source iNews24 reported.
Previously, an LG handset with a codename "bullhead" was spotted inside Android source code. The Nexus 5 that was released in 2013 carried a codename of "hammerhead." Rumors are rife that the Nexus 2015 smartphone would be a sequel to the popular LG Nexus 5.
It has stated that the LG Nexus 2015 release date will happen in October preloaded with Android M OS. Recently, at the Google I/O 2015, it was revealed that the Android M will support fingerprint scanning. Hence, the Google Nexus 2015 is expected to feature fingerprint sensor.
Furthermore, the device will be flanked with a 3D dual camera setup that can deliver images with augmented reality. The camera module will be equipped with an infrared sensor that will assist in delivering 3D based graphics along with a user-friendly interface. It will also be able to create stunning photos in low lighting conditions.
A Huawei employee from the United Kingdom has confirmed to IBTimes that the Chinese tech giant is also working with Google to release a Nexus smartphone later this year. However, the anonymous Huawei employee has not revealed more information on the device.
Previous rumors suggest that the Huawei Nexus 2015 is codnamed as "angler". It will feature a 5.7-inch Quad HD screen and Snapdragon 810 SoC.
