iOS 8.3 and iOS 8.4 jailbreak release may not happen as Apple rolled out iOS 8.4 beta 4 update halted the development of the jailbreak.
The iOS 8.4 beta 4 is now available at the developer center for developers to enjoy. Aside from fixes for bugs and issues, the OS update includes tweaks mainly to new music streaming service - Apple Music.
Moreover, reports claimed that the new iOS version will fix all issues in terms of security and will patch all of its vulnerabilities. iOS 8.4 includes new features like Apple Music and improved Siri. Thus, iOS 8.3 jailbreak users will not be able to enjoy such features.
In addition, the jailbreak community will most likely jump straight to iOS 8.4 jailbreak instead of releasing iOS 8.3 jailbreak first. Chinatopix reported that jailbreakers think that it makes no sense to put effort on a jailbreak that will be irrelevant soon.
Chinese jailbreaking team Pangu showed off the iOS 8.3 jailbreak at the Mobile Security Conference in China and promised to release the jailbreak to the public soon. Moreover, hacker team PP Assistant claimed that it will also release their version iOS 8.3 jailbreak in July, according to Scribbal.
Meanwhile, Chinese developers TaiG and K33n are working separately on the upcoming iOS 9 jailbreak and will release it in the fall, according to WCCF Tech. The report added that Chinese app stores that are running in jailbreak are paying developers over $1 million to work on untethered jailbreak.
However, previous reports claimed that iOS 9 operating system will be impossible to jailbreak as it will pack "rootless" security feature that will put an end to all jailbreaks. Without the "root," which is used by jailbreakers, users with administrative-level will not be able to access certain protected files in Apple devices.
