Gennady Golovkin challenged boxing's pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather and declared he is 100 percent confident of winning, but will the latter take the risk?

Arguably boxing's best puncher nowadays, Golovkin (33-0, 30 KO's) is No. 4 in the pound-for-pound rankings and rated the top boxer in the middleweight class by The Ring Magazine.

Mayweather claimed that Golovkin is out of his mind and that his last 20 opponents who were all knocked out were nobodies.

Observers say that Mayweather, who has never fought at middleweight, is already trying to kill the proposed fight.

Of course,it is not only Golovkin who wants a piece of "Money May."

IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook believes he and fellow undefeated WBA regular  welterweight champion Keith Thurman should get the next crack at Floyd Mayweather.

Thurman said last week that Brook was more deserving of a shot at Mayweather than another persistent suitor, Amir Khan.

Ex-welterweight champ Timothy Bradley is also angling for a Mayweather matchup.

However, there are also talks that Mayweather wants an easy 49th fight for September and then retire.

Meanwhile, Bradley also declared that he is not afraid to fight Golovkin--reputed as the most feared man in boxing.

Bradley added that people start stuttering when they mention Golovkin but he is not a coward and believes in his skills.

He said that people may say that he's crazy and may get knocked out but he challenged Golovkin to try and knock him out.

Bradley (31-1, 12 KOs) participated in the 2004 Olympic trials at 152 pounds and appeasr confident of making a jump to middleweight.

However, he is set to face Jessie Vargas on June 27 in a welterweight fight and is best advised to focus on that fight instead.

Bradley hasn't won a fight in two years--his last win coming in October 2013 against a 40-year-old Juan Manuel Marquez.

He then lost a one-sided 12 round decision to Manny Pacquiao in 2014 and had to settle for a draw against Diego Chaves last December.
