Breaking his silence for the first time over the furore caused by Holly Madison's tell-all book, "Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny," Hugh Hefner has slammed her for telling false stories to remain in limelight.
The 89-year-old millionaire released a public statement on June 22, in which he has questioned the authenticity of Madison's memoir.
"Many moved on to live happy, healthy, and productive lives, and I'm pleased to say remain dear friends today. Sadly, there are a few who have chosen to rewrite history in an attempt to stay in the spotlight," said the millionaire, before admitting that he had romantic relations with several women in his life time, Us Weekly reported.
Madison's self-proclaimed memoir, which has hit stores on June 23 reveals that her emotional status in the infamous mansion was deplorable and she contemplated suicide several times.
The former Playboy bunny has also accused Hefner of using drugs, being controlling and manipulative, and pitting the girls against each other. Madison was known as Hefner's chief girlfriend for several years before she left the place.
Meanwhile, Madison's fellow Playboy mansion mate, Kendra Wilkinson, has a different story to tell. The Madison's former "The Girls Next Door" cast-mate has revealed that Madison was looking for a plump part in the millionaire's will. In order to attain the same, she wanted to marry the millionaire and have his kids, Wilkinson told People Now.
The former Playboy bunny further claimed that since the millionaire did not agree for marital relations, Madison became furious and is now seeking revenge by telling the fabricated stories from her stay in the infamous mansion. It was reported earlier that Madison has accused Hefner of drugging by elaborating the incident how she was given a mysterious "thigh-opening" pill on her first visit to the Playboy mansion.
