ABC's "Nashville" was recently confirmed for another season. With this, fans are looking forward to know whether or not Kevin and Will's relationship will survive.
Just recently, "Nashville" showrunner Dee Johnson opened up about the fate of both characters during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. She also dished on whether or not Kyle Dean Massey, who plays the role of Kevin, will become a serious regular in season 4.
According to Johnson, they are still unsure whether or not they will promote Massey to become a series regular. However, they are aware of the impact he left fans in season 3.
Johnson added that Will's life will change drastically in season 4.The showrunner revealed that Will's journey was very crucial for everyone because they wanted the character to come to terms with his sexual preference. After which, they wanted to make sure that Will realizes that he can now fall in love with another person.
Meanwhile, Will's professional career might be greatly affected by his decision to come out. According to Fashion N Style, Will initially wanted to become Luke Wheeler, an artist who can fill up stadiums. However, there is a chance that his dreams will no longer come true because some fans might find it difficult to accept him.
In other news, "Nashville" will no longer feature Teddy (Eric Close) in the upcoming fourth season. In season 3, Teddy was busted for embezzlement of funds to pay an escort. Fans are also wondering what will happen to Deacon after his surgery.
"Nashville" season 4 will return to ABC on September 23.
