The 9th chapter of the Naruto Gaiden: the Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring mini-series is now available online on Manga-Fox, and it sure picked up the action after the pace of the story slowed down a bit in the past two chapters.
With the power of his Rinnegan and Mangekyo Sharingan restored, Sasuke regained the ability to summon his perfect Susanoo, and he immediately used this behemoth being as a vessel to find the location of his wife Sakura, who was in a 'not so good' situation in Shin's lair. Naruto also did his part in tracking Sakura's whereabouts by using his Sage Mode Frog Kata to sense nearby chakra.
Naruto, Sasuke and the kids (Sarada and Chocho) arrived just in time, when Sakura and Shin are at the heat of their battle. Sasuke's Susanoo snatched Shin and squeezed him to the extent of breaking his bones, saving Sakura in the process.
With his back against the wall, Shin made a desperate attempt by using all his clones as pawns to give him room to escape. However, his plan backfired as his clones began to turn their backs on him. The clones believed it's about time for them to take command, and replace an old disposable flesh whose eye power was not longer at par with them.
At that time, they already discovered that Shin's clones were far too many than they initially thought. Naruto used his multiple shadow clone jutso to offset the opponents' numbers while Sasuke easily handled the big one.
Shin made another attempt to teleport potential spare parts with him, but Sarada, with his Sharingan activated, sensed the looming threat of Shin's teleporting pet behind them and crushed it with her bare hands. To wrap up the chapter, Sasuke's daughter also showed the same monstrous strength Sakura wielded in previous battles, topping all the shin clones with one powerful punch to the ground.
