"Halo 5: Guardians" is this year's most anticipated title for the Xbox One. As such, preorders for the title is already ongoing, with different editions offered for players.
However, it appears that the bonus that players will get for preordering the game will still be available for other players to obtain in-game. 343 Industries' Josh Holmes clarified this via Twitter. Those who preorder do have the privilege of no longer having to unlock the preorder item while playing the game, therefore having an advantage.
"All unlockable content can be earned by everyone. Preorder just guarantees you have it out of box," said Holmes via his Twitter.
This particular preorder item is the Longshot Assault Rifle with Recoil Compensator, GameZone reported. The weapon features a laser targeter and a weapon skin. This is good deal for players who do not opt to preorder titles, since fan reaction to the Longshot Assault Rifle appears to be positive.
As with most Xbox One titles, it is common to assume that remastered versions of previous iterations will arrive in time for the newest title of a franchise. And the same is the case for the "Halo" games. Granted, there already is the "Halo: The Master Chief Collection," which saw previous "Halo" games remastered for the Xbox One, other fans have turned to the equally patronized "Halo: Reach."
Xbox's Phil Spencer was quick to respond, stating that a remake of "Halo: Reach" is not yet in the cards. In fact, he furthers this by stating that the backwards compatibility of the Xbox One may happen even before the studio starts thinking about the possibility of remastering the title, The Games Cabin reported.
Spencer did mention that the point of the backwards compatibility for the Xbox One is to ensure that players can enjoy previous games from the Xbox 360 on the next-gen console. At the very least, this does hint that Halo: Reach" may be in the running for backwards compatibility.
This is not surprising, considering that "Halo: Reach" has been one of the popular titles that players requested for in terms of backwards compatibility for the Xbox One. it had been among the top five in fact, close at the heels of "Red Dead Redemption," " Call of Duty: Black Ops 2" and "Skyrim."
