Microsoft Xbox division head Phil Spencer recently announced new Xbox One features that will be available for Xbox One Preview and Windows 10 users. Here is a list of some of the new features for the Xbox Windows 10 app:
Game Streaming
Windows 10 as a cross-platform will allow Xbox One games to be streamed to a Window 10 PC or tablet as long as it is within the home network. Xbox One gamers can now play Xbox One titles on their PC. Additionally, Xbox One accessories will also work interchangeably on both the console and the PC.
Xbox App
the upcoming Windows 10 will have a built-in Xbox app, according to Gotta Be Mobile. This will allow players to access Games, Messages, Friends, Achievements and Activity Feed on any Windows 10 device.
Xbox Avatar
This feature was previously called Avatars. In Windows 10, Xbox Avatar will sport a new layout and iconography. Microsoft will also introduce the Take a Photo feature which will allow gamers to take a photo of their avatar.
Game DVR
This feature is already installed in Xbox One and it allow gamers to record, edit and share some of their in-game video captures. The feature however is not yet integrated into Window PC and Microsoft plans to add this feature in the Windows 10 Xbox One update.
"Fable Legends"
Microsoft also announced that it will release "Fable Legends" on the Windows PC platform. With the Windows 10 update, players can now play against head-to-head against gamers on the Xbox One console.
A statement posted on Xbox Wire reads, "Today marks a new era in gaming for Microsoft, and we're looking forward to sharing more about what Windows 10 means to Xbox One at Game Developers Conference in March."
