The boys of 5 Seconds of Summer are working on a new album set to be released by the end of 2015. Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood, Ashton Irwin and Michael Clifford shared that 5SOS fans will be surprised to hear their latest songs, saying that it was more personal than their debut album.
In an interview with Australia's Nova 96.9, 5SOS shared that their sophomore album is "almost finished." Irwin revealed that they have already wrapped up recording all of the songs, which took them roughly three months to produce.
He added that fans can definitely expect the songs to have a much more distinct sound compared to their self-titled debut album. He explained that their experiences during the last years have helped them come up with better songs which he hoped the fans could relate to.
Hemmings added that he was really proud of how the new album turned out. He, however, shared that they were still working on a few tweaks before they finally release it in the coming months.
Speaking to Billboard, 5SOS revealed that they were looking forward to releasing a new album soon. Irwin revealed that they have been on so many tours this year that they did not have much time to go to the studio and record. He added that he is excited for fans to hear the new song they did with the Madden brothers. Irwin shared that the new track is really special and nothing like it has been done by other artists in the past.
