Android Lollipop 5.1 release is currently happening for HTC One M9 and HTC Desire 816. HTC Desire Eye will follow suit.
While these smartphones will receive the latest Android software, HTC Desire Eye and HTC Desire 816 smartphones will get the new update bereft of the Sense 7 User Interface, according to The Latinos Post.
The Android Lollipop 5.1 software update roll out started on July 1. HTC USA president Mo Versi made this announcement on the micro-blogging website Twitter last week. He mentioned that HTC was granted the technical approval on the 5.1 operating system, which is expected to include camera improvements and notification settings.
The Android Lollipop 5.1 software update will also provide users with improved Wi-Fi performance and better security options. Users can also avail of a better pinning feature for the home screen. "Quick Settings" has also been revamped in Android 5.1 Lollipop update. The animations have also been overhauled completely in the Android 5.1 Lollipop update so that the user can have a more lively and fluid usability experience.
It will also enable the ultra-pixel imaging technology in HTC One M9, which will greatly enhance the images taken by the HTC One M9 20 megapixel camera. The smartphone will also have better data performance and the call drop issue will be addressed in this update. Since HTC One M9 users complained of overheating problems in the device due to the Snapdragon processor, so the new update comes with better temperature management fixes for the device.
Meanwhile, rumors claimed that HTC is also planning to roll out the Android 5.1 Lollipop update for HTC One Mini, HTC One Mini 2 and HTC One Max soon, according to The Android Central.
