"Sense8" is allegedly about to get cancelled only after one season. After receiving mixed reviews, Netflix was said to be having second thoughts about renewing the series.
According to Venture Capital Post, fans of the series enjoyed the season 1 finale. It was said that even though the show had become more violent with each episode, viewers seemed to want to know what will happen to Will, Riley and the rest of the sensates. The last episode titled "I Can't Leave Her" reportedly left more questions unanswered.
The publication speculated that if "Sense8" gets renewed for season 2, the forthcoming episodes could focus either on the conspiracy or the sensates' individual stories. In season 1, viewers saw that the sensates are capable of killing all humans if they stand in the way of their mission. Another possible plot is that the next episodes could show what happened next to the Whisperers after the season 1 finale.
Meanwhile, "Sense8" star Daryl Hannah remained positive that the series is going to be renewed. Despite receiving low reviews, the actress encouraged fans to keep on pushing for the show's renewal.
Speaking to Indiewire, Hannah shared that she was worried that the series would be too emotional. She added that the script had been intimidating at first but it got easier as the show progressed. The actress described the Netflix original as a paradigm-breaking show, for it did not fit into any particular genre. She added that she considers "Sense8" as more of a movie than a television series.
