"Furious 8" cast apparently will have more female characters than any other installment of the franchise ever had including Michelle Rodriguez, veteran actress Helen Mirren, "Orange Is The New Black" star Ruby Rose and "Hitch" actress Eva Mendes, who is reprising her role she portrayed in the second installment of the movie.
Mendes last appeared in "2 Fast, 2 Furious" in 2003, in which she played the role of undercover customs agent Monica Fuentes, who fell for the handsome group member Brian O'Conner, played by the late actor Paul Walker.
Recent reports stated that Mendes' Fuentes will make a comeback in the upcoming eighth installment and this time, she will become a love interest of Dominique, played by Vin Diesel, eventually forming a love triangle as he is currently in a relationship with Rodriguez's Letty Ortiz, Christian Today reported.
While Mendes is likely to join the gang, Mirren, best known for her iconic role in "The Queen," reportedly will join Jason Statham to play the role of main villain. Not much is known about her character yet, other than the fact that she will play the role of a powerful woman with maddening driving skills.
After being rejected in the audition for "Fast and Furious 7" owing to her striking resemblance to the Canadian sensation Justin Bieber, Rose is set to join the eigth installement of the popular franchise, Venture Capital Post reported. The 29-year-old Aussie model is said to be playing a seductress in the movie, elevating its glam quotient. Not much is being disclosed about her sexy role yet.
Another female star expected to join the cast is UFC champion Ronda Rousey, who will be joining Dom in the upcoming sequel. The movie will reportedly be shot in New York and is set to release on April 14, 2017.
