New Samsung Galaxy A8 sightings were seen in alleged testing in India, prepping for the device's launch. Earlier last June, the Samsung Galaxy A8 was also spotted in the FCC certification database, supporting earlier reports of a possible July release date for China.
According to the GSM Arena, the leaked images seemed real. The images show off not only the front and back portion of the Samsung Galaxy A8, but are also the thin on the sides, a testament to the thinness of the phone.
As seen in the images from @OnLeaks, the display have almost no bezels on the sides. The rounded edges gives the smartphone a sleek design that harks back to previous Samsung devices.
More than the looks of the Samsung Galaxy A8, it appears that the price has also been leaked. A Vietnam retailer had listed the Samsung Galaxy A8 for VND 10,990,000 (approximately $500). This more or less matches other reports, which have pointed to a price point of €434 (approximately $494) for Samsung's latest smartphone.
Previously, Samsung's touted thinnest phone has been reported to launch in China this month. There have reportedly been some leaks that showed off the device, complete with its thin bezels and a 5.94mm body, Android Central reported.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 is expected to have a 5.7-inch display featuring 1080p and Super AMOLED design, almost no bezels on the side, a 16-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel front camera, a fingerprint sensor in the home button, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset and a 3050 mAh battery.
Samsung's latest dabble into the all-metal phone line was first discovered as a trademark for the A-series. Originally, it was also thought to be smartphone meant for release in China. However, considering the price point for other territories, this is likely to change once the South Korean company announces official details.
