"The Big Bang Theory" executive producer and writer Steve Molaro recently opened up about the upcoming ninth season of the hit CBS series at the "Inside the Big Bang Theory Writer's Room" panel at the San Diego Comic Con.
While there, Molaro dropped major hints about the future of Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy's (Mayim Bialik) relationship and said that a major twist about their union will be featured in the premiere episode. Molaro added that the real story behind Sheldon's ring will also be tackled in the first episode of season 9, according to Business Insider.
Meanwhile, Kunal Nayyar and Bialik made a surprise appearance at the event, but said that they still do not know much about the upcoming season. This is because the scripts are usually handed to them on the night before they start filming.
In other news, fans have become ecstatic over Molaro's recent revelations because although it was previously reported that Sheldon and Amy's relationship is far from over, they have become worried that the two will actually choose to stay away from each other.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sheldon and Amy's relationship would not come to an end just yet because both of them will be willing to patch things up and make things work. During an interview with the publication, Molaro also said that Sheldon has always been very fond of Amy so he will most likely do everything in his power to win her back.
"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 will premiere on CBS this coming September.
