Presidential candidate and real estate tycoon Donald J. Trump alerted the FBI's Manhattan office after receiving derogatory tweets from an alleged twitter account of Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman on July 13, Monday.
Named Joaquin Guzman Loera, the alleged twitter account of the Mexican drug kingpin sent the derogatory tweets after Trump posted tweets about disapproval on alleged Guzman's negotiations with the United States government, ABC News reported.
With the username @ElChap0Guzman, the alleged El Chapo twitter account reported wrote in Spanish, "Keep messing (with us) and I will make you eat your own statement... @realDonaldTrump" along with other derogatory words. The authenticity of the account could not yet be verified and the tweet was eventually deleted.
Guzman escaped from a high-security prison for the second time last Saturday, a year after being caught on a Mexican beach resort during his 13-year run as a prison escapee. He is said to have ran the Sinaloa Drug Cartel after his prison breakout in 2001 until his recapture in 2014.
Trump tweeted, "Mexico's biggest drug lord escapes from jail. Unbelievable corruption and USA is paying the price. I told you so!" along with other disapproving tweets moments after Guzman escaped from Altiplano Federal Prison.
"Can you envision Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton negotiating with 'El Chapo', the Mexican drug lord who escaped from prison? ...." Trump also wrote.
The presidential candidate and tycoon has expressed disapproval over Mexicans in the United States during his presidential campaign address in June, stating that Mexicans, who he referred to them as rapists, are taking over the jobs for Americans and bringing criminal acts to the country, Forbes reported.
The FBI authorities are still investigating over the alleged twitter account. Meanwhile, the Mexican police authorities are still on a massive manhunt for Guzman's whereabouts.
