"The Flash" executive producer Andrew Kreisberg recently talked about the upcoming second season of the hit The CW series. He also dished on the new superheroes and villains that will be introduced in the second installment.
During a recent interview at the San Diego Comic Con 2015, Kreisberg said that Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will become more of a hero in season 2. According to Kreisberg, a central theme for season 2 is public perception because more and more people are finding out who The Flash is.
Compared to other superhero series, "The Flash" aims to let everyone know that Barry and The Flash is one and the same person.
Meanwhile, Kreisberg also confirmed that "The Flash" season 2 will introduce more villains compared to season 1. Although he did not directly confirm the number of villains that will be introduced in season 2, Kreisberg said that each one will play an important part in the story, according to Screen Rant.
In other news, Barry Allen's The Flash costume will also feature a minor tweak. Instead of having the usual red The Flash logo, the new costume will have the logo in white color.
There are speculations that the change in the color of the red and white insignia has something to do with the mystery surrounding a future version of Barry or The Flash, IGN reported.
"The Flash" season 2 will premiere on The CW this coming October and it will also introduce a possible new love interest for Barry and a new professional partner for Joe.
