Bethesda is reportedly hard at work on the much awaited next installment in the “Elder Scrolls” series, which is expected to be the biggest game ever from the developer.
The rumor mill is abuzz with reports about the highly anticipated “Elder Scrolls 6” release date to be in 2016. But, it seems highly unlikely as “Fallout 4” from another Bethesda’s successful series, will be releasing only this November, Gospel Herald reported.
This falls in line with the statement from Pete Hines, VP of marketing at Bethesda, that the developer is looking at only the quality of the games and not the number of games to be released every year.
Moreover, Bethesda is having its plate full with a number of titles like the “DOOM,” and “Dishonored 2,” announced at the E3 this year. This lends weight to doubts that if the “Elder Scrolls 6,” will get to see the limelight anytime soon.
However, previous reports point at the developer’s release pattern - a time period of 4-5 years between each title - “Elder Scrolls: Morrowind” launched in 2002, with “Oblivion” following in 2006, while “Skyrim” saw a 2011 release, suggesting the “Elder Scrolls 6” release by late 2016.
Later this week, Bethesda is expected to share what’s next for the “The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimted,” at the QuakeCon 2015, scheduled to be on July 24, Friday. At least a tiny bit of information about the long-rumored “Elder Scrolls 6,” is expected to be leaked, Twinfinite reported.
Nevertheless, these reports should be taken with a pinch of salt, as Bethesda is yet to even officially confirm the next title “Elder Scrolls 6.”
