Serie A team AC Milan will meet neighbor club Inter Milan in the China leg of the 2015 International Champions Cup. The match is scheduled on Saturday, July 25, at the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre in Shenzhen, China.
The Milan Derby is always a classic matchup not only for the Italians but for football fans around the world. A while back, each meeting of these squads are highly-anticipated each time as they both catered world football stars and a winning tradition in the Italian league.
To date, both clubs have 18 Serie A trophies each, with Inter last winning in 2009-2010 while Milan in 2010-2011 before Juventus made a four-year run.
Currently, though, they are sitting in the middle of the Italian league, yet still their matches draw interest from hardcore football fans worldwide.
Milan's latest game was against Atalanta BC at the Serie A in May. Siniša Mihajlović's men won that game handily, 3-1, behind a double from midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura and a goal from former striker Giampaolo Pazzini, who was transferred to Hellas Verona this offseason, via SkySports.
Meanwhile, Inter was already in China as they battled and lost to the German club Bayern Munich on Tuesday, 0-1, as per Bleacher Report. Manager Roberto Mancini vows that his team will play better against their neighbors this weekend in front of their Chinese fans.
The predicted result is a close 1-0 by I Nerazzurri over I Rossoneri. The loss of forwards Pazzini and Stephan El Shaarawy, who is now on loan at Monaco, will take a toll on Milan's offense.
