Verizon Wireless recently released the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS update for the Moto DROID Turbo, but it is also plagued with bugs and issues.
In response to the bugs and issues, Verizon reportedly plans to release another over-the-air update in order to resolve the bugs.
The following are the list of bugs that Verizon released a new set of bug fixes that aims to resolve the issues found in Verizon Moto DROID Turbo Android 5.1 Lollipop OS update, , according to Android Origin.
Battery Life
Problem: Owners claimed that different battery problems were encountered upon installing the Android 5.1 update. According to Android Origin, Verizon Moto DROID Turbo handsets tend to overheat due to some bugs. Other users claimed that charging the battery is slower than usual.
Fix: Verizon will reportedly release another OTA update that will hit the Moto DROID Turbo users. Meanwhile, users can do a factory reset while waiting for the update.
MMS Issue
Problem: Multiple users reported an issue with MMS functionality with their Motorola Droid Turbo. It is unspecified how the issue is affecting the users.
Fix: Verizon Wireless is pushing out a bug fix to customers in phases. The carrier will send this update to all Droid Turbo users, even those who have already received Android 5.1, so this OTA update should be pushed to your device over the next week or two.
Brightness Problem
Problem: Some users claimed that the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS update messed up the brightness of the device. A user claimed the brightness keeps getting reset to 100 percent.
Fix: If users experience this problem, they are advised to perform a factory reset on the Moto DROID Turbo in order to resolve the issue.
