Supermodel-turned-actress Cara Delevingne was supposed to promote her recently released movie, "Paper Towns," but had a terrible start of the day when she was reportedly told off by "Good Day Sacramento" anchors during a difficult live chat on July 28.
The disastrously awkward interview got off to a rocky start when one of the three hosts of the chat show wrongly introduced the supermodel as "Carla," reported The Hollywood Reporter. Later, she was quizzed whether she ever got the chance to read the John Green novel on which the movie is based on.
"No, I didn't read the book or the script," said the 22-year-old model known in the fashion world for her quirky sense of humor. She further added that obviously she has read the book and even recommended others to read the novels by Green.
The interview went downhill and heated exchanges were observed between the guest and the talk show hosts.
At one point, one of the hosts jumped in to point it out to Delevingne that she is not looking as energetic and excited as she was during an interview two weeks back. The model simply replied that she is still very much excited for her acting debut, adding that the movie premiered last night and it was an emotional moment for her.
The tension between the guest and the hosts was quite evident as mixed emotions were visible on the face of the actress. The host went ahead to quiz her sarcastically that whether she is annoyed or irritated, to which Delevingne replied, "No, I think it's just you."
The interview was cut short in less than 3 minutes with the anchors telling the supermodel to "take a nap and maybe have a Red Bull." Even after her video feed was cut out, the show's anchors continued to criticize her attitude. "She was in a mood!" one said.
"Paper Towns" was released on July 24 and has already garnered $12.6 million and is declared a hit, The Guardian reported. Delevingne will next be seen in DC super villains blockbuster, "Suicide Squad," alongside Will Smith and Jared Leto.
