Supermodel Gisele Bündchen has been accused of misusing the burqa, the traditional Muslim veil for women, to go incognito while visiting a plastic surgeon in Paris on July 15.
Recent report stated that the 35-year-old model was in talks with the Clinique du Parc Monceau, Paris, to address her concern over sagging breasts and eyes. The model was even photographed coming out of the clinic on June 30 when she apparently had a preliminary examination.
On July 15, the chauffeur, who is known to be the model's trusted and veteran staff, was reportedly spotted outside the clinic when he dropped off two women in burqa. Sources told New York Post that the two women, who posed themselves as strict Muslim followers, were actually the supermodel and her kid sister Rafaela Bündchen who wanted to keep their visit to the cosmetic surgeon a secret.
The same driver was again said to be spotted outside the clinic on July 16 who transported Giselle and her sister back to Bristol hotel. A day later, the sisters reportedly went to exclusive Les Sources de Caudalie spa for five-day pamper.
It seems that the Bündchen sisters were not aware of the fact that wearing the Muslim veil is banned in public places in France since 2010 and also that burqa is not supposed to be worn with open-toed sandals, in which one of them was photographed, Daily Mail reported.
The former Victoria's Secret angel was apparently not happy with her sagging breasts which she suspected she has after having two kids. The model decided to pamper herself on her 35th birthday and used the veil to cover to apparently save herself from media glare. However, her act of donning the burqa to go incognito is reportedly being criticized heavily by religious groups.
