“Southern Charm” stars Thomas Ravenel and Shep Rose have different views when it comes to the possible renewal of the Bravo series. The politician may have just confirmed that the series has been cancelled due to its low ratings but Rose seemed to believe otherwise.
According to Inquistr, Rose refused to believe that "Southern Charm" will not be renewed for season 3. Ever since Ravenel declared that he will not be returning to the reality series, many fans speculated that the show will get cancelled. Without him, the show's ratings will reportedly go down given that Ravenel's on-again, off-again relationship with Kathryn Dennis has always been one of the highlights of the series.
Rose perceived that Ravenel's statement was given after he had a "few drinks." He added that his co-star did not know what he was talking about. Rose also pointed out that this is not the first time that Ravenel threatened to leave the series. In season 1, the 52-year-old star claimed that Bravo has repeatedly lied to him in order to get him stay on the show.
According to Christian Today, viewers saw the end of Ravenel and Dennis' relationship in the "Southern Charm" season 2 finale. In the episode, Dennis begged Ravenel to stay given that they have a daughter who needs him. She added that she could not provide for her on her own. Ravenel, however, ended up leaving her. He claimed that he can no longer stand being with her after Dennis cheated on him with a lesbian.
