The creators of "The Walking Dead" season 6 recently shared a handful of pictures from the set of the upcoming AMC series.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the upcoming season will feature more zombies than ever before on the show. The publication also confirmed that 300 extras were hired to play the role of zombies on one particular episode.
Meanwhile, in one of the photos, Glenn and Maggie could be seen pointing their gun at either the walkers or a threat to their kind. Some of the photos also featured gruesome images of the walkers that will be part of the upcoming season.
One of the photos also featured new cast member Corey Hawkins, who will be playing the role of Heath. Another photo showed Ethan Embry as Carter.
While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Scott M. Gimple expressed her excitement to be working with Hawkins. According to him, Hawkins is so good at what he does, but he's also very fun to work with.
In other news, the same publication interview with cast of "The Walking Dead" season 6 and asked them who they think will be killed off by the zombies first. Cast members Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira, Lauren Cohan, Steven Yuen and Melissa McBride also shared who they think will find it most difficult to survive the zombie apocalypse.
According to the majority of the cast members, it seems that Reedus will be the first one dead if the zombies did attack them in real life.
"The Walking Dead" season 6 will premiere on AMC on Oct. 11.
