Rumors are doing the rounds regarding the release date of Microsoft Surface Pro 4. The Surface Pro 4 may be launched this coming October. It is expected that the upcoming tablet will be better than its predecessors.
According to reports, the battery life of Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will have 90 minutes extra runtime than Surface Pro 3. The Surface Pro 3 has 9 hours runtime. On the whole, the upcoming tablet may have 10.5 hour-long battery life.
Several reports suggest that the tech giant Microsoft has placed a big order for Samsung Electronics' 256GB solid state drive (SSD) to be used for its new Surface Pro 4 tablet.
According to DigiTimes, the new Surface Pro tablet will have the same ultra-thin form factor and 12-inch screen of the Surface Pro 3. Also, the tablet will be updated with Windows 10 and Intel's new Skylake processor, according to Christian Today. It is expected that Skylake Processor will be released this fall. Also, it is expected to offer more power efficiency.
Windows Hello is another feature to look forward to in the Surface Pro entry. It is the new biometric authentication system integrated in Windows 10. The feature works with either a fingerprint reader or an Intel RealSense 3D Camera.
The Intel RealSense 3D Camera will let users to log in with their face. It means that the upcoming Surface Pro 4 tablet may ship with a 3D camera when it is launched. A number of laptops and personal computers are beginning to ship with built-in RealSense cameras, and more will come later this year.
The new tablet will have an i7 or i5 Intel Core processors. It will be available in 500GB, 256GB, 128GB and 64GB internal storage options. Also, the tablet will sport a Stylus pen.
Rumors are also doing the rounds that the Surface Pro 4 will be launched together with the Microsoft's Surface Mini tablet. It is expected that the device will feature an 8-inch display screen.
