Microsoft just released several productivity apps for different wearable devices, including Google Android Wear smartwatches and Apple Watch. Outlook allows users to read full emails and respond with recorded replies or voice dictation, while the Translator app gives Android and iOS wearable owners the ability to convert spoken words into 50 different languages.
Users of Microsoft Outlook can now read full e-mails instead of just a few sentences, according to The Verge. Then they have the option to use canned replies or original ones through voice dictation.
Apple Watch users can also use an Outlook glance feature that allows a quick view of emails and also calendar appointments. It is like other basic apps for the wearable, including PowerPoint and Skype.
Cupertino's wearable will have access to the Wunderlist to-do app. Users may also soon install Yammer, which can be linked to an iPhone.
Meanwhile, the Android Wear smartwatch will get new and improved versions of OneDrive and OneNote. Each time the unit is activated, the cloud service will select a photo for the watch face, which was uploaded within the last 30 days, according to Engadget.
Meanwhile, OneNote now shows the most recent notes users have viewed more conveniently. It is done on the Google gadget.
Next, Microsoft has launched a Translator app for the Android and Apple platforms. It can convert the spoken word into one of 50 available languages.
The app also lets users pin the most common translations used such as "I'm lost." They can also browse past ones.
All of the latest apps can be downloaded at Google Play or Apple iTunes. The exception is Yammer.
