Director Bryan Singer continue to tease fans on what the titular team will wear in his upcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse."
On Aug. 7, Singer shared a photo on his official Instagram account. His photo shows a green screen studio with some silhouette of costumes behind display cases. With the appearance of the said costumes cannot be easily deciphered from afar, the director's caption says "Reminds me of #area51 #roswell #xmen #xmenapocalypse."
There is a probability that the "X-Men: First Class" cast who will play characters like Mystique, Beast, and Wolverine will don the costumes in Singer's photo while those characters portrayed by the newcomers will wear the bright comic-based costumes, as per Cinema Blend. This possibility could be linked to pay tribute to the yellow and blue jumpsuits worn by the team in "X-Men: First Class."
It is also possible that the costumes will be worn by the mutant team as they work with the government, according to Comic Book Movie. At the conclusion of "X-Men: Days of Future Past," Mystique saved the day from Magneto's evil plans, which led the government to abolish its plans to make use of the Sentinels to kill the mutants.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" stars Ian McKellen, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Lucas Till, Evan Peters, Lana Condor, Olivia Munn, Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Tye Sheridan, Ben Hardy, Rose Byrne, Josh Helman, and Oscar Isaac, among others.
Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse" is set to premiere in theaters in the United States on May 27, 2016.
