"Modern Family" star Ariel Winter has recently undergone breast reduction surgery as she was admitedly fed up with the unwanted attention she was getting due her F-size cups. The teenager was speaking during an interivew when she opened up about the physical and emotional pain she used to face due to the sudden spurt in the growth of her breast which led to her decision to go under the knife at such a young age.

"It started to hurt so bad that I couldn't take the pain. My neck was hurting so bad and I actually had some problems with my spine," the 17-year-old told Glamour, before adding that her unusually large breast often became the fodder for tabloid stories that used to mention her cleavage in headlines rather than her work on the Sofia Vergara-starrer ABC series.

Winter had joined "Modern Family" at the age of 11 and has experienced lots of changes since then. The actress, who apparently reached puberty while on the show, admitted that at one point of time, she used to aspire for big boobs, but soon started feeling embarrassed in public when her breast size started increasing exponentially.

Being the part of the one the most popular sitcoms of the times, Winter also had to deal with body shamers and online trotters who used to ridicule her owing to her large assets. Despite the criticism and scrutiny which she had to face in the public eye, the actress declared that going under the knife was completely her own decision.

Winter finally underwent the breast reduction surgery on June 4, after which she felt happier than she ever was.

Back in May, the actress took to Twitter to announce that she is now emancipated and is no longer under the control or custody of her parents and must support herself despite being under age 18. She was reportedly removed from her mother's home in November 2012 amid allegations of physical and emotional abuse, Us Weekly reported.
