It seems like the much awaited all-new installment in the “Grand Theft Auto” franchise will finally hit the market by late 2017 or early 2018.
The highly anticipated “GTA 6” release is rumored to be as a part of the anniversary celebrations of 20 years of “GTA,” as the first “Grand Theft Auto” game was launched in the year 1997.
The upcoming game is rumored to feature an entirely new world that compiles the earlier maps from the “GTA” franchise. While this is just a rumor started by a Reddit user, VermillionDemon Fox, there are reports pointing to Rockstar previously discussing such a feature for a future game.
Rockstar, before the launch of “GTA V,” had plans to create a new world with cities from the previous versions of the game, which could allow players to visit the old cities and play in their favorite place again. Since, the feature missed “GTA V,” fans are likely expecting it to make its way to the new “GTA 6.” However, Rockstar was also reportedly mapping the entire U.S.A for the next game’s map.
“GTA 6” will more likely have the super couple Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes voicing the lead characters, along with new car models like Ford pickup trucks, Hot Rods, and Chevy SS Camaros.
As for the upcoming “GTA 6,” rumor has it that Rockstar is working hard on the game to make it better than its predecessor “GTA V,” which has shipped 54 million copies till date. The new title is expected to be big in every terms compared to the “Grand Theft Auto” franchise, which has shipped over 220 million copies, according to the form 8-K filed by Take-Two Interactive.
Though there is no official confirmation on anything related to “GTA 6” release, Leslie Benzies, the president of the Rockstar Studios, have previously hinted at the game being under development, stating that the team has got about 45 years worth of ideas that they want to do for the title. However, Benzies has also added that the focus is currently on “GTA V” and GTA Online, with the DLC releases going on.
Just earlier this week, the game developer announced that the Rockstar Edition will be introduced to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Grand Theft Auto 5 in the next update, GameSpot reported.
Nevertheless, it is better to take these reports with a pinch of salt, as Rockstar is yet to comment on anything related to “GTA 6” release.
