One Direction will reportedly go on a year-long hiatus before pursuing their individual careers as musicians.
In an interview with The Sun, an insider clarified that there is no bad blood going on between the members of the boy band. However, the source stressed that there really is a need for each of them to grow individually in their chosen fields of expertise.
The source also revealed that the hiatus would not mean that the boys are splitting up. Fans have been worried that this will eventually be the case especially after Zayn Malik left the UK ground a few months ago.
Meanwhile, there are rumors that Sony wants to sign Harry Styles as a solo artist. The company is reportedly doing everything in their power to get Styles on board.
According to Mirror UK, a Sony insider said that Styles is the most popular member of One Direction. However, he was not able to release his own album first because Malik was the one who left the group.
The insider added that Sony is looking forward to receiving a demo tape from Styles because it will certainly be huge considering it is from the singer.
As of late, none of these claims have been confirmed by One Direction's rep, as well the band's manager, Simon Cowell.
In other news, there are also rumors that Styles will get into the movie industry. However, whether or not this will push through is what fans need to watch out for in the coming months.
