"Scream Queens" star Lea Michele recently talked about her role in the upcoming FX series. The "Glee" alum also said that she is happy that she does not have to sing on the show.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Michele said that "Scream Queens" will have everything except for singing. The actress added that everything is good about the show from the get go.
Meanwhile, fans of Michele need not worry about the actress' passion for singing because she is currently recording outside of the FX series.
In an interview with Variety, Michele said, "I'm working on music outside the show. I'm enjoying the break from that and I'm enjoying getting to focus on being an actor."
The actress added that she will forever love singing, but right now, she is pleased that her acting and music are separated from each other.
Throughout the past six years, Michele starred on Ryan Murphy's "Glee," where she played the role of Rachel Berry. The actress' character required her to sing multiple songs on some episodes.
Michele revealed that doing "Scream Queens" is therefore much easier for her, but it is solely just her acting that she needs to focus on. The actress added that "Glee" was challenging for her and she does not even know how she survived the show.
The "Scream Queens" star will be joined by other cast members include Emma Roberts, Ariana Grande, Keke Palmer, Abigail Breslin, Nick Jonas, Jamie Lee Curtis and more. Michele will play the role of Hester on the show.
"Scream Queens" season 1 will premiere on FX in the fall.
